Location: above Laguna atemaco, on Santa Marta side

Access: paved road from Catemaco to Tebanca, dirt road to Escaceba, then turnoff uphill towards
Miguel Hidalgo, after dog leg, go straight
Poza Azul is basically a glorified swimming hole with a heavily swaying suspension bridge, and a few
shallow cascades. Entry is 10 pesos per person and you get to pee around a tree.
It´s a nice place for a cool dip or a starting point for
1. a trek up to Poza Reina to beat their 30 peso entry fee, or
2. an inner tube slide down to Laguna Catemaco. (Wear shoes, helmet & kneepads and carry wire
cutters!)
