The San Andres Tuxtla city fathers had the
foresight to try to save some of the city history
and converted several early twentieth century
homes into a cultural center in 1987, which
also now functions as a small museum.

Casa de Cultura de San Andrés Tuxtla
The center is well used by locals for regular cultural events. Although the casa may not be a "must" visit for tourists, it will excite
pre-hispanic archaeology buffs with a few unique artifacts.

It is located down from the central plaza to the central market, then 2 blocks to the left (inland).
