There are very few books in print available from or about Catemaco or Los Tuxtlas.
If you walk the streets of any major city center in Mexico, there seem to be almost as
many librerias (book stores) as taco stands. Try the same in Veracruz and you get
awfully lost. There are several around the centro.
If you do not include the comics section in a few other establishments, Catemaco has
only one place that sells some books. San Andres has a few more.
Nowhere can you count on anything in English or anything about Los Tuxtlas.
That has changed with the recent publication of monographs on Catemaco, San
Andres Tuxtla and Santiago Tuxtla in Spanish available in many local venues and even
sighted on Amazon in Jan 2007.
