Although Los Tuxtlas claim 128 mammalian species I don´t seem to find many. I see the occasional
road-kill possum,  an armadillo that fell in my septic tank under construction and which my workers
promply ate, a bunch of howler monkeys howling at me  in Playa Escondida and I caught a glimpse of a
furtive otter, a tepezintle, lots of bats, some gorgeous black squirrels and numerous captive species. So
I´m short on photos.
